Current Players of the Week
June 21st
Our first G-league player of the week is Bentley Larsuel who plays for Pole Barns Direct Twisters. His coach, Dan Ranker, shared that "Bentley is arguably the toughest pound for pound player in the league. He takes getting hit by the ball and uses it to get stronger. He is also the happiest kid on the field. Progression and hard work describe Bentley to a tee! He shows up every game and gives it his all. I am glad we have Bentley on our team! His good spirit is contagious throughout our team. Bentley was recognized with the game ball at our game on May 19th for driving in runs and being tough as nails. Proud of you 6-7. "
Our second G-League Player of the Week is Braiden Miller who plays for Pole Barns Direct Twisters. His coach, Dan Ranker shares "Leader, Hard Worker, Dedicated, Positive Influence, Great attitude are all terms I would use to describe Braiden. He has continued to impress me every game. All of his hard work at home is displayed every time he steps on the field. At a recent game he had a great outing pitching and at the plate. He has continued to be a role model for his teammates throughout the season. Keep up the hard work Braiden. Proud of you!"
Our third G-League Player of the Week is Easton Stull who plays for Pole Barns Direct Twisters. His coach, Dan Ranker tells us that "Easton is one of the toughest, 100% effort players I have been around. He always does anything that is asked of him to his fullest. His hustle and character are always on display whether he is pitching, catching, playing outfield, or playing a position he has never played. Easton always keeps things loose in the dugout with his humor and even keep the coaches loose with it even if I have to use the term "you're killing me Smalls". Proud to call you a "Twister" Easton!"
Our I-League Player of the Week is Rocco Angelica who plays for The Hooks. He was nominated by two of his coaches, Jeremy Toole and Steve Walker. Jeremy Tool shared that "His hardworking and dedication has led to a great season and he had a great game with his first out of the park home run." And Steve Walker let us know that "Rocco is a very hard working boy. He listens to everything coaches say. And he is always trying to better himself. Rocco is a team player he helps his teammates out when they need it. Also you don't really see a 7 year old go yard. He did that this past week in Louisville. He hit it over the fence and it traveled 190ft. In the air. We are super proud of this kid. "
Our H-League Player of the Week is Bentley Taylor who plays for Greener Grass Grizzlies. His coach, Amber Sipos, shared that ""Bentley is a ball of energy on and off the field. He is our most versatile utility player and does a great job no matter where we need him. From pitching, to tag outs at 2nd and short stop, the occasional plays behind the plate as catcher, to making outs at first, and superman diving for line drives in the outfield, he was born to play baseball. He can always be found munching on a snack in the dugout while he waits for his turn to hit some dingers to the outfield, like the grand slam he had during our gangs under the lights. He is the king of hitting the un-hittable pitches. Every at bat is fun and exciting with him.
Bentley has been a great addition to our team and always keeps us on our toes. 💚⚾️"
